GE helps Gundersen Lutheran optimize design of new critical care hospital

This top Midwestern health system wanted their new critical care hospital to improve the patient's experience and make the best use of nursing resources. This case study shows how Gundersen worked with the Care Design team from GE Healthcare Performance Solutions, using Lean-based principals and simulation technology to "hard wire" greater efficiency into their new facility.  The resulting space designs and process improvements reduced daily travel for nurses by more than 40 percent while creating a more effective care environment.
